Free ride UAV
Description
I wish to have a UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) companion latched on my shoulder. whenever I wish to explore a certain terrain beyond my compatibility I wish to release the UAV have a visual intercom link in my helmet and voice or manual remote control. The UAV should beard infra-red sensors a radar and a day time TV and a radio link. With this aplliance I can have a safer and confident ride through any terrain. In the face of an avalanche I can release the UAV to make a distress call or automatic en-route to any rescue units. The UAV should be resilliant and undamagable like a blackbox yet flexible and unharmfull to the human body. While it remains on my shoulder Or released in "Autonomous mode" capture footage videos by shadowing me during my slope run. the batteries should be recharged via a backpack installed flexible solar panel.

I don't think you coud bring all that equipment wiht you. It would be to heavy to carry. Uros Obradovic
And also too expensive, but the concept is good
Thanks a lot for the comments.I thought I was alone here. For now I do agree it is quite expensive..but in the near future I do beleive it will be really affordable. A handy cam with a fisheye lens is not cheap either for video production. For the weight issue I am thinking of it as an integrated shell sort of structure on your backpack with flexible lightweiht solar arrays so you just take it of with a release button open up the rods that hold the motors and propellers. And for the future I think only voice command via a mic in the helmet and a transmitter should do it. I would not want to carry around the remote as well. The UAV can have a tracker which Hexakopter already has a GPS mode. myth
cool concept:) bonibom

a good example is the UAV Cyber QUAD which can be a good reference point for designing a free ride robust version. myth
the Hexakopter especially has an ability to stbilize weights and forces via inbuilt stabilizers to deal with wind correction, roll, etc. which is good for even carrying stuff or material transportation in a barren land. myth
hello! nice ideas:) bonibom
