regular snow cannons produce very small and hard snowflakes. the snow cannon of the future will be able to produce pure white powder. the snow on the pists will be a lot softer and the number of injured skiers will decrease.

The problem with the hardness of the pistes is the groomer machines, skier compaction and melt-freeze cycles. The softness of larger flakes will be very temporary. ptor

New technologies might make it happen before 2015, lets wait and see
