crashes during world cup races often end up in bad knee- or other injuries because the bindings are set very hard. if in case of a crash, the binding could be opened remotely by a trainer, this would probably help not to get injured.
i dont know if it also could be used in freeride contests.

Well I don't thingk there would be enough time for trainer to help. Injuries happen in momment and that can not be controled. Uros Obradovic

Magnetic bindings would eliminate this need for this idea which would never work anyway. Nobody should decide when your bindings come off... the result could be worse. ptor
