Telscopic ski

Description

The idea is to make telescopic ski that could copress itself when not used. This would ease the walking and carrying them.
Compressd skis would easily fit backpack. Each ski would be made of two pieces wich compress one inside other when wanted.

the idea seems interesting! can make movement easier bonibom

skis are good the way they are. Unless you are bushwhacking in devils club and alders on the BC or Alaska coast there really is no need for reducing the size of skiis for transport. If you have problems moving now, try another sport. ptor

People will always chose the easiest way to do something. If this colud make skiing easier to some of them, than it would be a successful product. Uros Obradovic

For shure this would be a top seler product in case it becomes real, excellent idea (like the Transformable skys)

Even when storing or transporting inside a car (in case it didnt have the roof carrier) the retractable mode would be shorter and could be stored/transported easier ;-)

I really like this idea, and I do agree with Capo, people are lazy and we will always choose the easiest way out. Living in Denmark where there are no mountains I have to go out of the country to ski, telescopic skies would make it a lot easier for me to go skiing, since I do not have a car and therefore no roof carrier.

Why do you think that locking mechanism couldn't be constructed. Something like locking mechanism on umbrella but far more durable and rigid. Uros Obradovic
