The Freeride Idea Contest 2015

this idea is not super upcoming but I think there is still a big lack of intormation
"on site freeride - checkpoints" to inform and support the riders before the start. a report about the avalanche situation, freeride routs, emergency contact, beacon check etc.
there are some super good examples and resorts are already providing these features for there guests, but there is still a big need in most of the areas which are focused on freeriding. To inform in advance and prevent accidents!

as you said, still too few of these checkpoints. Education is probably the one thing that could safe the most lives steepdown(ADMIN)

The more information the better. La Grave has a great station like this at the base of the telepherique with avy conditions, weather, beacon check. However, I don't think routes should be advertised like this. ptor
