The Freeride Idea Contest 2015

This idea will make poles available for customization. Not only will the grips be available for sale but also out of the factory so the grips and straps will best fit the skiers needs. The straps could be also used for different things in rescue situations, therefore they should be easily detachable and used for straps to strap skis or secure bandages to legs or arms. Also the baskets should be secured on by a locking device but easily detached for optimal changability. Stay tuned for pictures.

maybe the poles should also have a sender, like the new Pieps searcher steepdown(ADMIN)

Many poles already come with different baskets. not everybody likes skiing with pole straps. I am interested to check out different grip styles because it doesn't seem necessary to me. Things that are easily interchangeable/removeable tend to fall off easier. Poles should never be used as an avalanche probe. One should always have a real probe. If a ski pole were to be also a sender, it would take alot of abuse for having sensitive and important electronics inside. ptor
