Description
We've all lost our skis in powder before. There has to be a better way to find your skis without looking for hours on end. The response is to either have a remote that sounds a high pitch whistle on your ski or some type of beacon. Even a simple whistle could allow for a general location of ones lost ski. Also built in RECCO reflectors built into skis would allow for avy beacons to locate the exact area of the missing ski. This would allow for an easy way to find locate skis without missing endless runs in order just to locate your ski in the amazing powder.
That's already been made back in the 90s by the company Ortovox. It was called the "skimouse" and was little beapers attached on your ski/binding to be tracked with a special frequncy on your beacon. Never worked! If you want you can use Powder Leashes only attached on the binding and put underneath your pants but loose! 5€ in any ski shop

Alright, cool, thanks for the heads up. I have used powder leashes before but was not a huge fan. I wonder why the "skimouse" did not work? The beacons for sure are more advanced so maybe Ortovox should try again?
Tucks
Cool idea but Powder Leashes do the trick for me and it's cheap. Still I think this have to be standard for future, because technology is so advanced now and we almost can't live without it.

This is a good idea, it is similar to what people buy for their keys. You can attatch it to your skis and when you press a remot button it could make a high pitch noise. The only problem is that you cannot lose the button to turn on the tracker.
