Have you ever delt with rapidly deterioration jumps due to extremely high temperatures? Well at Mount Hood they resolve this problem by having salt cannons that spread salt that lowers the melting point of snow and allows them to keep there composition longer. With this new attachment, Snow Cats can spread salt while gromming to remove the step used currently. Salt will be embedded in the snow much like automated seed spreaders spread seeds in fields. Also on Glacier Race Training courses this new attachment can spread out salt distribution to insure an even surface throughout the race course.
